What a fun place to have an event.  There’s plenty of space and so much to see.  For those of you looking for a unique venue to host your next party, reception, corporate function, or really any event, the California Agriculture Museum should be a place to consider.  It’s the home of the Heidrick tractor collection started in 1930 and so much more.

The first space to check out is the Banquet Hall.  You can decorate this hall to your heart’s content and really make it your own.  The large room has polished cement floors and air-walls, so you can even customize the size of the room.  It includes tables and banquet chairs which make it a very cost effective venue.  You can plan an offsite ceremony at a nearby church or outdoor venue and then use any of the 4 spaces for the reception or have everything right on property.  The Ag Museum is also available and would work perfectly for your cocktail hour and/or reception – what fun.  There is even the option to have docents onsite so your guests can explore the museum during your event.  There’s already a kids area with a cornpit and mini tractors so one less thing you need to worry about.

Just off the main museum floor is a breezeway which is lit with magical twinkle lights.  Directly outside is the Courtyard which can also be used as a ceremony space, cocktail space, or add some lounge furniture for a romantic outdoor living area on a warm summer evening.  The courtyard includes a fountain and the perimeter is covered with roses, lavender and other flowers tucked around a charming wagon wagon wheel here and there.  There is also a gazebo and the Courtyard is lined with charming old fashioned street lights.

The largest event space is the East Wing.  The East Wing is a large warehouse with vintage buses, cars and wartime relics.  There is an old airplane tower that works perfectly for the DJ to work out of.  This space can be divided into any configuration you’d like and works fabulously for a large wedding reception, school auction, or really anything where you are expecting a large guest count.

The venue has plenty of perks which make it an ideal location for a fabulous party.  They allow a full bar and you can keep the party going late!  Be sure to check it out when looking for a venue for your special event.
