The beauty of the setting for Cazadd Cellars in the rolling hills of California’s Gold County is unparalleled. Amador County is rich in history and so is this venue that got its roots in farming (hay), to cattle ranching, and eventually wine grapes. With 80 acres of vineyards, and hills of valley oaks, plus the best sunsets imaginable, Cazadd Cellars can’t be beat for photo opportunities at every turn.
The 1800’s era cattle barn has been carefully restored as a “bardominium” to be used for a bridal dressing space and a cool place for the bride and her entourage to gather. The barn is beautifully decorated with a farmhouse flair and has a comfortable sitting area to enjoy the views. With the well-equipped efficient kitchen, light snacks and beverages can be “at the ready” for celebrating the day ahead.
The barn can also be a great area to hold a corporate team-building or dinner function, or any intimate gathering, or rehearsal dinner. The patio just outside the wide sliding glass doors offers Italian market lights and new plantings of wine grapes for future trellising which will be lovely over this outdoor patio space.
Just up the walking path is the Terraced Ceremony Lawn and Wine Cave. Imagine a wedding ceremony being held in front of the majestic wood doors! Guests will be seated on the lush lawn to watch the nuptials and they will have stunning views of the vineyards, rolling hills and surrounding countryside from this level. Inside the cave is the real treat! Carved into the hillside is a 2,000 square foot temperature-controlled wine cave that will have your guests in awe. Set up a bar, some tall cocktail tables, and enjoy this awesome space for your social hour. Or, perhaps you’d like to seat and serve your guests a sumptuous dinner inside the cave, which could be done for a smaller group. We definitely see displaying the cake/desserts in front of the wine barrels and enjoy celebratory dancing in the cave. For a larger headcount, dine alfresco, just outside the cave opening while enjoying the vineyard view. The vines are specifically Barbera and Tempranillo grapes. The glow of the market lights and the sunsets, which are to die for, will be very romantic!
Fun fact: There is even a regulation baseball diamond for a fun pick-up game before or after the rehearsal. Or even a team building activity. Talk to the owner about reserving and securing the diamond.
Future plans for wedding ceremonies to be held under the branches of a heritage oak tree are in the works, so this is another option to consider. Cazadd Cellars is beautiful, memorable, and is a wonderful venue to consider for your wedding or for any social gathering. It’s just a quick 1 hour drive from downtown Sacramento!
