Read Moreweekend wedding, or destination wedding as it has tons of history and fun things to do. Your guests will enjoy their time with you, but there’s also hiking and outdoor activities, boutique shopping, wine tasting, and exploring a unique California gold rush town.
Hotel Sutter has several areas for a private party, rehearsal dinner, or wedding reception. They offer “All Inclusive Wedding” packages which means they provide tables, chairs, tabletop items, delicious food, accommodations, shuttle transportation, and more. Each space has it’s own look and feel, which you can compliment with your own stylish decor. The C-Room (Celebration Room), next to the restaurant, is a semi-private dining room that can accommodate up to 20 guests. It is a perfect spot for rehearsal dinner, breakfast after the wedding, or an intimate wedding.
The Banquet Room is the largest space seating up to 80 guests for a dinner party. It has wood flooring and original exposed brick walls, perfect as a photo booth or portrait backdrop; add to this the vintage chandeliers and you’ve got a wonderfully romantic spot for a wedding ceremony or reception.
The Main Street Balcony is so fun and literally, directly above Main Street. It has wonderful views of downtown Sutter Creek and is available for al fresco dining for up to 49 guests. There are fans and heaters so it’s cozy and comfortable year round. The ambiance is lovely with their house music and the romantic market lighting strewn across. This space works great for a smaller reception dinner or brunch or a rehearsal…really any dining experience is fun outside on the balcony!
The final spot for a celebration is the recently redone Copper Room, available for up to 100 people. We love this underground space and it’s conveniently located directly beneath the banquet room with a private staircase! It’s a long, narrow room with a fantastic bar along one side. The bar was crafted out of the original hotel bar that was built in the 1800’s. The opposing wall is the original basement wall made of quarry rocks and supplemented over the years with old brick. The flooring is rustic, stained cement complimenting the other elements in the room. There’s a special vibe down here.
Hotel Sutter was originally built in 1852 and known as The American House. The hotel has 21 unique rooms, each with its own private bathroom and deluxe amenities. All rooms can be reserved for your gathering so your guests can be onsite for the weekend festivities ~ so fun!
Another option, especially for larger events, is to have your smaller parties (rehearsal and brunch) at Hotel Sutter while having your larger celebration at another venue in the area. Hotel Sutter makes the perfect ‘home base’ for your weekend. You can reserve their 21-passenger shuttle to transport your guests safely to and from the venues. Their onsite event manager can assist you with the logistic details; nice service!
