The picturesque El Dorado County roads through gold country bring you to the impressive gates of Saureel Vineyards. Through those gates you’ll see beautiful vineyards, citrus orchards, and horse pastures with white split rail fencing. This country estate is incredible.
A prominent feature to the venue is the 9-acre lake with panoramic views of the rolling hills. The wedding ceremony lawn is on the shores of the lake! And the ceremony spot under a stately heritage
oak tree, while guests have the best views of the countryside, is divine. Then, once the wedding is over, guests cross over a sweet wooden bridge to the most outstanding barn.
We love how this rustic barn has modern elements. Check out the huge overhead fan blades that look industrial, yet ultra-chic. In addition, one full wall of “accordion” window doors affords gorgeous lake views and allows in the cool breezes. Since this is horse property, the bar is a converted horse trailer called The Wine Trough; so fun and perfect for the theme and setting. And speaking of troughs, Saureel offers a variety of galvanized tubs, wine barrels, and troughs for icing down waters or champagne. Additional pieces of “furniture” are included in your rental to help in creating your vision.
Lawn lounge seating can be set up just outside the barn, with lawn games being played. A simple touch we love is the small dock cantilevered over the lake. An intimate wedding ceremony can be held on the dock, or possibly the couple’s first dance ~ so romantic. Also, there is plenty of room for partying and dancing inside the barn. The view of the party in action through the expansive windows and the full moon above is pretty awesome.
Saureel’s barn can hold approximately 175 guests and they offer round tables and lovely wood cross-back chairs. However, if you’re needing a large space for a grand event, the indoor horse arena is a great option. A preferred vendor list will be provided to help you make your vendor selections. And lastly, The Lakehouse is a private 3 bedroom/2 bath oasis retreat that is beautifully appointed. It has plenty of room for bridal hair and make-up services and a great option for a relaxed rehearsal dinner.
